Preaching to the choir much? At any rate, when you're Jimmy Carter's age, surely you've earned the right to write what you want. Anyway, it's nice to feel validated: the far right's rhetorical (and financial, and political) monopoly on Christianity in the United States is depressing and sorta evil, and we need more people to call them out on it. And I say this as someone with quite a few family members who proudly identify as "Conservative Christians" -- doesn't make me love them any less, but it sure would be nice to gently shove this book at them and request that they read it.
